GLENVILLE - Visiting Ohio Valley University had 29 first-half turnovers and never led here Friday evening as Glenville State rolled to a 133-77 West Virginia Conference victory.

The 133 points tied a school record for the Pioneers, who had six players crack double figures versus the Fighting Scots.

Ginny Mills, who had a game-high eight steals, canned 7 of 12 from downtown en route to a game-high 29 points. The Pioneers also scored 133 points againt Bluefield back in 2009.

GSC, which plays Monday in the Puerto Rico Classic, made 17 of 36 shots from 3 in the first half and finished with 29 makes, just one short of tying the NCAA Division II national record.

Pioneer Jelena Elez posted the only double-double, scoring 12 points and dishing out a game-high 10 assists. Jessica Parsons (17), Ashleigh Fossett (14), Kenyell Goodson (14) and Tiffani Huffman (12) also had double figure scoring efforts for the Pioneers (8-2, 5-1), whose 76 first-half points tied them for sixth most all-time, but the school record is 80, which also happened versus Bluefield State.

OVU (0-8, 0-5), set to play 6 p.m. Wednesday at Ursuline, received 18 points from Jasmine Gibson along with nine points and a game-high 10 boards from Janelle Silver. Kayla Parsley added 15 points, Tara Benedict 14 and Amy Brooks 12 in the setback.

GLENVILLE - Ohio Valley never recovered from a Glenville State 19-7 run late in the first half as the Fighting Scots suffered a 93-79 road setback here Friday night to the Pioneers in WVIAC action.

Lamar Mallory notched 15 of his game-high 25 points in the first half as GSC (5-4, 3-3) held a 43-32 edge at intermission.

Ohio Valley (2-7, 1-4) got a 24-point effort from Ashton Brown and also had double digit scoring from David Sinickas (13) and Mustafa Helal (10).

The Pioneers shot 61.4 percent from the field. Jamel Morris went off for 23 points off the bench for the victors, who also received 15 points from Kevin Gray and 10 markers from DJ Blanks, who had a game-high six assists.

Mallory tied OVU's Neil Gingerich, who had nine points, for game-high rebounding honors with eight apiece.
