David C. Runnion, 63, Parkersburg, husband of Carmen Danielson Runnion for 43 years, passed away Dec. 7, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
Born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Spencer, W.Va., he was the son of Murl Moneypenny Runnion and the late Charles A. Runnion.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, an operator for Pleasants Power, a 1967 graduate of St. Marys High School and attended the Celebration Center in Marietta. David was a Steelers fan, and enjoyed family, golfing, wood working, hunting, fishing and being an avid sportsman. He was a Little League baseball coach for 18 years in Pleasants County.
Survivors other than his wife and mother include three sons, Rob (Becky) Runnion, Pat (Teresa) Runnion and Luke Runnion; five grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Conard, Marilee Runnion, Brandon Runnion, Halle Runnion and Corey Foster; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Conard; three sisters, Rebecca Dearth, Dorothy Bills and Sharon (Randy) Fetty; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastors Gordy Dear and Darren Alkire officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
