Edith A. Drake Lindsey Grim, 62, of Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 7, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Spencer, W.Va., the daughter of the late Ira Melvin and Iley Frances Keaton Drake.
She had worked for many years as a Tax Deputy with the Wood County Sheriff's Tax Office. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and loved going to her grandson's wrestling matches and football games. She enjoyed shopping, auctions and deer hunting and was the family SKIPBO champion.
She is survived by her husband, James Larry "Butch" Grim of Parkersburg; her son, Donald Lindsey Jr. of Waverly; her daughter, Patricia Stephens and husband, Kent, of Davisville; her grandson, Logan Lindsey and his mother, Christina Westbrook; her sisters, Jeannia Dooley and Harold of Parkersburg, Macel Cook of Powelton, W.Va., and Dormel McClain and Vic of Dixie, W.Va.; her brothers, Denvil Drake of Slate and Delbert Drake and Rosie, also of Slate; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie Drake, Delmer Drake and Robert Monroe; three sisters, Lona Reynolds, Ruby Baylous and Audrey Kuhn; and her father and mother-in-law, Clarence Lee and Frances Grim.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Pastor Beverly Roney officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday.
