Charles W. and Carol Ann Travis Blake will celebrate their 50th anniversary. The made a fall trip to Asheville, N.C, and the Georgia mountains, and spent their anniversary at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
They were married on Nov. 2, 1962, at Christ United Methodist Church in Charleston by Dr. Truman Potter. Suetta Jean Travis was maid of honor for her sister and Arthur L. Blake was best man for his brother. A reception was held at the home of Virgil and Edana Travis of Campbells Creek.
They are the parents of four children, the late Candi Yvette Blake, C. Travis (Desiree') Blake of Atlanta, Christen (Rick) Hull of Kiev, Ukraine, and Dr. Cara (Jim) Blake-Lott of Hiawassee, Ga.

They have five grandchildren, Savanna, Maya Jade and Gabriella Blake of Atlanta, and Trey and Blake Hull of Kiev.
On Sept. 15, 1967, the couple moved from Campbells Creek to Belpre, with O.K. Trucking Co. He became terminal manager and later retired, and was then employed by Shell Chemical Co., retiring in 2001.
She retired as a social worker in Washington County.
The couple are active members at Rockland United Methodist Church, serving as youth leaders, trustees and other officers. They served in the community as chairman of United Way, coaches for swim team, baseball, football and youth activities and continue to volunteer and work for the church.
They love to travel and enjoy river sports, gardening and canning, and are avid Mountaineer fans.
They live near the Greenbrier River in Talcott, W.Va., and spend the winter in Duluth, Ga.
