Larry Wayne Johnson, 60, of Ripley, passed away Nov. 28, 2012, at home following a short illness.
He was born May 7, 1952 at Charleston, a son of the late James Aubrey and Ada Kersey Johnson. He was a construction worker and electrician for Kelly Paving, and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debbie Barnette Johnson; sons, Jason Johnson of Ripley and Justin Johnson and his wife Amber of Ripley; his granddaughters, Hannah, Kaitie and Emma Johnson; a brother, Hobert Johnson of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; sisters, Betty Ray of Sissonville, Frankie Shamblin of Ripley, Marble Smith of Advent, June Albright of Shelby, N.C. and Sue Smith and Patty Taylor, both of Sissonville.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Epworth United Methodist Church, 299 North Church St., Ripley.
