Myrtle Lorena King Cottrill Burdette, 97, of Parkersburg, passed away Nov. 14, 2012, at Cedar Grove Personal Care.
She was born May 17, 1915, in Jackson County, W.Va. Myrtle was the daughter of the late William and Emma King. She was one of 12 children. Myrtle is a retiree from The Parkersburg News and Sentinel.
Surviving is a son, A. Bruce Cottrill (Marjorie) of Georgetown, Texas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Earl King (Mary) of Parkersburg.
Two husbands, Francis Cottrill and Michael Burdette; daughter, Carol Ann Duckworth; and 10 brothers and sisters predeceased Myrtle.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Jeannie Breedlove and the personnel from Cedar Grove for their kindness and compassion toward Myrtle.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Parkersburg, W.Va. Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, with Pastor Bernard Thrash officiating.
