Students’ success downplayed

November 25, 2012
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

Neale, Vienna and Greenmont elementary schools received the Gold Standard of Educational Achievement Award in Charleston on Nov. 15, 2012.

All three schools were honored for achieving Exemplary Accreditation status. This means that the students scored in the top 10 percent on WESTEST, which measured student proficiency in each academic area. Secondly, it means that attendance at each school was 94 percent or above.

Congratulations parents, students, teachers and principals. Shame on The Parkersburg News and Sentinel for not making this front-page news.
