Edna Louise Spencer, 89, of Parkersburg, died Nov. 20, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Floyd and Edna Smith Badgett.
She was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church, currently attended the Belleville Baptist Church and also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Clara-Edna Chapter No.140.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Larry) Hemsley of Cincinnati, Sandra (Charles) Schroeder of St. Louis, Mo., Debra (Gary) Nutter of Washington, W.Va.; a brother Berkley Badgett of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Trevor (Lisa) Hemsley, Tyson Thornton, Justin Nutter, Jared Nutter and Jessica (Jason) Gessel; four great grandchildren, Rachel and Jordan Hemsley, Jacob and Jayden Gessel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy H. Spencer; one grandson Tracy Hemsley; two sisters, Eladean VanFossen and Emma Swope.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Scott Morehead officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
