Ronald Ray Carpenter Jr., 29, of Parkersburg passed away Nov. 18, 2012, at his parents' home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1983, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., a son to Ronald Carpenter Sr. and Melissa Poole Hickman. He graduated from Mountaineer Challenge Academy where he received his GED. He was the most dedicated and loving father ever-known. He took care of his special needs son, Jude, better than anybody and taught all of us how to love and care for him. He loved to fish, listen to music, but most of all, spending time with his son, his family, and his friends. Ron loved Jude with all his heart and soul. Ron was loved very dearly by his father, mother, and step-father.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-father and mentor, John Hickman; his only son, Judeyah Robert Marley Carpenter; two brothers, Kyle Carpenter and Steven Hickman; and a large, loving extended family.
Ron had many true loves and friends that he thought the world of and they thought the world of him, his son's mommy and one true love, Terri Toste; his girlfriend, Hayley Tyler and her son, Austin; his special friends, Brent and Hannah Erington, Bobby and Crystal Cross, John and Chastity Jackson, Eddie Bailey, Sonia Gerard and her children, Amber Nessleroad, Becka Florence, Janet Cross, Michael Brookover, Gary Buffington, Billy Heflin, Sara Deem and her children, Angie and Jeremy Phillips and their children, Warren Taylor, Matt Furr, Morgan Gabbert, and his special "second Mom", Cheri Hoalcraft and her sons.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Donna Poole and Arnold and Edna Carpenter; his great-grandparents, Clarence and Evelyn Robey, Susie and Alpha Carpenter, Lucy and Ed Taylor, Greely and Delphia White; Uncle George Carpenter; and his friends, Markie and Jamie Riel.
