Bill and Norena Schofield will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house held by their children from 2-4:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in the fellowship hall of Seventh Street United Methodist Church in Parkersburg.
They were married Dec. 1, 1962, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Parkersburg by Pastor Roger Steffen.
She is the daughter of the late Hans and Ingrid Myrland and a former employee of Wood County Schools. She retired in 2009.

He is the son of the late Guy and Opal Schofield and is semi-retired at Wharton Auto Group where he has been employed for 46 years.
They have three daughters, Brenda (Clark) Struebing of Martinsburg, Debbie Parrish of Winchester, Va., and Kathi (Jimmy) Powell of St. Marys.
They are the grandparents of Clark and Claire Struebing, Lauren, Hannah and Jacob Parrish and Emily, Ashley and Luke Powell.
Although cards are appreciated, gifts are thankfully declined.
