Police seeking info on store break-in

PARKERSBURG - City police are looking for additional information regarding a Wednesday morning break-in on Division Street.

Parkersburg police Sgt. Greg Collins said an individual or individuals broke into the Hot Spot video lottery on Division Street.

An employee of the business arrived at work, finding the building in disarray and called police, Collins said.

Police said between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., the suspect(s) cut a hole in the back wall of the business gaining entry into the structure. The safe was found to have been pried open and cash missing.

"Uniformed officers collected numerous pieces of evidence, with detectives and the evidence technician arriving later to complete the processing of the scene. Video surveillance footage is being processed at this time.," Collins said.
