Judith "Judy" Karen Brotherton, of Leroy, went to be with the Lord, Nov. 12, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, following a long illness.
She is a daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Whited Cunningham. Judy was a graduate of Poca High School, and retired from the Medical Records Department at Jackson General Hospital. She was a Christian and attended Parchment Valley Baptist Church, and Ripley Baptist Temple. Judy was an avid animal lover and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Keith Brotherton; niece, Amelia Hayes of Raleigh, N.C.; and nephew, Clark Brotherton Hayes of Washington, Pa. She is also survived by numerous cousins, and many friends whom will miss her very much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Cunningham.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastors Herman Robinson and Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Parsons Cemetery, Gay, W.Va. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
