This election shows quite clearly that West Virginia, specifically, and the Republican party, in general, are out of touch with the rest of America. That West Virginia is out of touch is not new. The headline in the 2182 election will be that we passed same-sex marriage and legalized marijuana.
However, with each election the GOP is moving farther and farther behind. If it couldn't win the presidency and the Senate under these circumstances, how can it win at all? Soon it will be a minority party along with the libertarians.
