Wahama 41, Buffalo 13

MASON - Wahama put the final wraps on a perfect 10-0 regular season after defeating Buafflo, 41-13, Friday night at home.

The White Falcons trailed 13-7 before scoring 20 consecutive points in the second quarter.

After Zach Wamsley scored his second touchdown at the 1:05 mark of the second quarter to put Wahama in front 21-13, Buffalo fumbled the ball away on the kickoff return. The White Falcons just beat the buzzer for another score when Trenton Gibbs carried it in from 13 yards out with 16 ticks left on the clock.

Wamsley finished with 145 yards on 20 carries, while teammate Kane Roush added 97 yards on 17 rushes.

ELIZABETH -Wirt County (7-3) limited South Harrison to one first down and 26 total yards in the first half and cruised to a 48-0 victory over the Hawks on Friday night.

Quarterback Josh Trembly did all his damage before intermission, throwing for 152 yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers built a 35-0 cushion.

Cody Ferguson led Wirt County with 86 yards on just five carries, while backfield mate Wes Valentine added 82 yards on three attempts.

Trent Hardbarger led Wirt County with 65 yards on four receptions and scored two touchdowns.

Tyler Consolidated 40,

Bishop Donahue 26

MCMECHEN - Tyler Consolidated (4-6) followed up an impressive win at Class AA Braxton County with an equally impressive 40-26 win over the No. 15 Bishop Donahue Bishops (6-4) here Friday night for head coach Rob Caldwell who paced the sideline for the final time with the Silver Knights.

The Bishops would be the first to strike in the first quarter on a Lavonte Hampton 42-yard punt return with 7:39 left in the first. The Silver Knights responded with two scoring drives of their own scoring on a 19-yard pass from senior Hunter LeMasters to senior Levi Henderson with 5:15 left in the first quarter and a 20-yard run from senior Alex Doak with 56 seconds left in the period.

The Bishops pulled to within one in the second quarter, 13-12, but the Silver Knights answered back with three straight scoring strikes. LeMasters hit Doak from 24 yards out with 3:05 left before half and then connected with his favorite target again for a 7-yard tally with 20 seconds left in the first half.

Doak added to the scoreboard again by returning the opening kick of the second half 75 yards to paydirt.

Senior LeMasters finished the night leading all passers by completing 12-of-20 passes for 229 yards and three TDs and Doak led all receivers with six catches for 145 yards and two receiving scores for their final game in silver and black.

Magnolia 48, Oak Glen 13

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Magnolia Blue Eagles capped off an impressive 9-1 regular season here Friday night, downing the Golden Bears of Oak Glen (4-6), 48-13.

The Blue Eagles scored five straight times to jump out to a 34-0 lead before Oak Glen was able to get on the board. Tanner Hanna started the scoring by hooking up with Gage Deem from 6 yards out with 7:10 left in the first. Hanna found a scoring partner again when he hit Ryan Walton from 12 yards out with 3:04 left in the first.

Next score came with 1:15 left in the first half on Drew Keller's 1 yard run. Keller also scored the next two times Magnolia possessed the ball on runs of 15 and 3 yards, respectively.

The Golden Bears finally got on the board scoring twice to draw within 34-13 but that was as close as they would get.

Kage Rhode ran 14 yards for a score with 7:15 left in the fourth. Keller also contributed in the fourth quarter with his fourth TD run of the evening to put the final score at 48-13.

Keller lead all rushers on the night with 188 yards and surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the season.

Magnolia awaits which team it will draw in the first round of the playoffs following Sunday's official announcement from the WVSSAC.

Games cancelled

PARKERSBURG -According to the West Viginia Secondary School Activities Commission, three high school football games in West Virginia scheduled for this week will be cancelled and declared no contest because of weather related concerns.

Games affected include Nicholas County at Richwood, Bridgeport at Preston and Moorefield at Tygarts Valley.
