Ron Burdette, 66, of Vienna, W.Va., died Wednesday Oct. 31, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late E. Harold and Mary (Allen) Burdette. He had built log homes and was a veteran of the United States Marines. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with his many friends at Emerson Bowling Alley. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the hunting cabin.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen (Greathouse) Burdette; daughter April; two grandchildren Grace and Ross; and two sisters Nina Stephens (Ervin) and Bertha "Sis" Conley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Donald Burdette.
Services will be Saturday 1 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Todd Hill officiating. Burial will be at Neal-Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be today, 2-8 p.m.
