Election season has been relatively clean in Wood County in the 17 years I have lived here. Candidates have seemed to stick with promoting themselves without ugly public attacks on their opponent. That was until "Dirty Harry" Deitzler came on the scene.
I find the newspaper ads and the large sign at the Democrat headquarters bashing and mocking Commissioner Couch distasteful and very mean-spirited. Blair Couch has been a very hard-working commissioner and deserves to be re-elected. Folks recognize people who seek to tear down others are often lacking in self-confidence.
