Frances Robinson

Frances Joan Robinson, 80, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, passed away Oct. 29, 2012, in Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division.

She was born March 29, 1932, in Quiet Dell, W.Va., a daughter of the late Oren and Lucy (Fox) Jacobs. Her husband, Lando Glenn Robinson, Sr.; daughter, Constance Jean Brookover, a daughter-in-law, Vicki Lynn Robinson, and several brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker, and enjoyed flower gardening and working crossword puzzles. She was an active member and former Secretary/Treasurer of the Jackson County Democratic Women's Club, a member of the Senior Organization of American Retirees (SOAR), and a unit director for Girl Scouts of America,Senior.

Survivors include a son, Lando Glenn Robinson, Jr. of Kenna; daughter, Cherri Ebsch of North Royalton, Ohio; sisters, Minnie Lawrence of Nutter Ford, and Bonnie DeWitt of Dayton, Nev.; grandchildren, Jamie Prior of Martinsburg, Mo., Lori McKee of Ripley, Matthew Robinson of Kingston Springs, Tenn., Morgan Ebsch, and James Ebsch, both of North Royalton, Ohio, four great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. today at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood.
