Megan Elizabeth Petty and Phillip Michael Ludwig were united in marriage on June 23 in an outdoor wedding at Souls Harbor Baptist Church in Marietta. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Robert Hughes.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Linda Petty of Marietta and the granddaughter of Russ and Norma Richardson of Williamstown and Becky and the late Gene Petty of Williamstown.
The groom is the son of Ronda and the late Michael Ludwig of Marietta and the grandson of Roy and Freda Stephens of Marietta and Alvin and Jean Ludwig of Devola.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Emily Petty, sister of the bride, of Marietta, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaid was Sarah Cook of Vienna, friend of the bride.
Stephen Ludwig, brother of the groom, of Reno, served as best man. The groomsman was Nathan Hill of Lowell, friend of the groom.
The bride wore a white satin off-the-shoulder A-line dress with a side-draped bodice. She also wore custom designed blue and brown Chuck Taylors that matched the groom's. The flowers were blue hydrangeas and white daisies.
The pianist was Sloane Matics, piano teacher and friend of the bride.
The reception immediately followed the ceremony outside at Souls Harbor Baptist Church.
The cake was made by Sloane Matics. It was a 3-tiered cake, two layers with white cake and white buttercream icing and one layer with chocolate cake with chocolate icing. The cake was decorated with raffia, blue hydrangeas and white daisies and had a handmade twine cake topper.
The bride is a graduate of Williamstown High School and of West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a certificate in surgical technology.
The groom is a graduate of Wood County Christian School and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Apprenticeship and is a pipefitter with Local 168 of Marietta.
After a honeymoon in Vermont on their motorcycle, the couple resides in Barlow.
