Joy Renee Shively and Andrew Edward Folczyk were united in marriage in the presence of family and close friends on May 22 at a private beachfront estate in St. George Island, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of Betty J. Shively and the late Benjamin F. Shively Jr. of Parkersburg.
The bride was presented in marriage by her brothers, Jay E. Shively and Matthew P. Shively, both of Parkersburg. She wore a strapless A-line empire waist gown made of Italian lace with scattered small pearl appliques, with a semi-cathedral length train. The gathered chiffon bodice was trimmed with Swarovski crystals and followed around to the corseted back.

The groom is the son of Robert and Susan Folczyk of West Allis, Wis./ Frankfort, Ky.
Michelle D. Carpenter, sister of the bride, of Fort Collins, Colo., served as matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Christina A. Walker of Baltimore, Md.
Michael R. Folczyk, brother of the groom, of Lexington, Ky., served as best man. Groomsman was Warren H. Greer of Louisville, Ky., friend of the groom.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Architecture. She is employed by Clotfelter-Samokar Architects in Lexington, Ky.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Western Hills High School in Frankfort, Ky. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in English, a graduate of the University of Louisville with a master's degree in English and a graduate of Georgetown University with a master's degree in education. He is employed by Fayette County Public Schools.
Following the ceremony, a catered reception was held beachfront under a candle and lantern lit draped tent, adorned with tropical blooms and greenery.
The couple will reside in Lexington, Ky.
