Over the past election years, I have agreed to a number of political endorsements by The Parkersburg News and Sentinel, but this year's recent endorsement of Sen. Joe Manchin I will have to disagree with.
As Gov. Manchin, he did a good job for the state and I believe was well thought of. Unfortunately, since going to Washington, Sen. Manchin has gone with a different agenda than when he was governor of West Virginia. His endorsement by vote for Obamacare and funding of Planned Parenthood are opposite views he had as governor. Both plans will fund abortions at taxpayer expense.
I hope voters will carefully consider candidates like Sen. Manchin, who so easily flip-flop on issues as important as these before marking their ballot.
