BELPRE Scott Oran has been promoted to site manager at Kraton in Belpre.
Oran will replace Mark Gaddy, who has accepted a senior position with another company in Savannah, Ga. Gaddy was manager at the Belpre plant since March 2010.
"I want to say that I am very humbled and privileged to be named the Belpre Site Manager." Oran said. "The Belpre Plant has a long tradition of employees working together and being a good neighbor and steward to the communities we live in. My family and I plan to be here for many years and I want to continue to work with you to make this Plant the preferred place to work in the Mid-Ohio Valley."
Scott Oran poses on the grounds of Kraton in Belpre where he was named plant manager of the manufacturing facility. He succeeds Mark Gaddy, who is going to work for another company.
Oran joined Kraton as operations superintendent for Belpre in April 2011. "Since joining Kraton, Oran's leadership has delivered valuable results, beginning in occupational and process safety, by driving the use of systems and tools of the structured safety process and critical thinking" said Ken Stach vice president global manufacturing for Kraton. "He has also helped drive the change necessary to achieve improvements in process reliability and quality. In many cases, these were the foundational changes needed to deliver sustained, long-term improvement at the Belpre Site."
Oran joined Kraton from Celanese Performance Polymers, where he was site director for the Edmonton, Canada facility. Prior to that assignment, Oran was General Manager for the Celanese facility in Kunming, China. Oran grew up in South Carolina and holds a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.
He and his wife, Laura, and their two children, Courtney and Madison, live in Vienna.
