Evelyn V. Clovis, 94, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away, Oct. 22, 2012, at her residence.

She was born, Nov. 6, 1917, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late William Francis and Nellie Bookman Adkins. She was a member of the St. Marys Presbyterian Church, had worked for the former Quaker State Oil Refinery for 35 years, was a 1935 graduate of St. Marys High School, and was a 50 year member of the St. Marys Chapter 31 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, William "Ted" Clovis; three grandchildren, Bobby Clovis, Matthew (Rhonda) Clovis and Stephanie (Dale) Clovis Colvin; five great grandchildren, Bethany Colvin, Vivian Colvin Muntz, Valerie Colvin, Sarah Blackburn, and Rachel Doss; four great great grandchildren, Elijah Blackburn, Tiffany Hamilton, Vanessa Muntz, and Makayla Muntz, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Services will be held Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Pastor Gene Adkins officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, and from 2-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
