Vera B. Sarver

Vera B. Sarver, 90, of Marietta, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Vera was born Sunday, March 5, 1922 in Germantown, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Verna Koon Barth. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion Post # 64 Ladies Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post #5108. Vera was an avid bowler and served as treasurer for the W.I.B.C. She also was ranked #2 in the state in the senior league.

She is survived by her children, Candace Teubert (Tom), Harry E. Sarver, John B. Sarver, Marcia Sharpe (Thomas), Lynn Shaffer (Bob) and Tom D. Sarver (Peggy); 29 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; niece, Sandra Davis; and son-in-law, Joseph Ricciardi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin "Dag" Sarver (6/27/1991); and a daughter, Veronica Jo Ricciardi (6/22/2012).

A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street.
