The children of Washington County need our help. We have some mission work that needs our attention. Unlike many church mission trips, this opportunity is right here in Washington County. We have an opportunity to answer God's call - and take care of some of the most vulnerable among us.
The Washington County Children Services is the last line of defense for many kids that cannot help themselves. A positive outcome on the Children Services Levy will have a dramatic impact on the quality of life for many in our community for years to come.
I can assure you that I don't like more taxes, but there are some things (in my judgment) worth paying for. It is projected that for a typical homeowner the cost would only be $3.75 a month. I believe that helping children in need who are not able to help themselves is a worthwhile mission and it sounds like a good investment to me.
I hope you will agree with me that "every child in Washington County deserves a chance. Please join me in supporting the Children Services Levy on Nov. 6.
