October 21, 2012
By JILL PARSONS , Parkersburg News and Sentinel

Are you a fun person at home? Are you a fun person at work?

Want to have some good laughs with your family, co-workers and fellow Chamber members?

The Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley will give you the chance to explore these questions at the 2012 Annual Dinner & Awards Banquet.

This year's Annual Dinner & Awards Banquet will be held on Nov. 8 at the Parkersburg Art Center.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a Social Hour and, new for 2012, a Red Carpet Lounge.

The Red Carpet Lounge will allow businesses to set up a small booth to distribute information and highlight their services and products to everyone attending the dinner.

A booth at the Red Carpet Lounge is $100 for Chamber members and $200 for non-members.

Tickets for the annual dinner are $50 a person and include two drink tickets to use during the social hour or during the dinner, followed by a cash bar. DaVinci's will cater the dinner and meal options include herb grilled chicken, petite filet or pasta primavera.

Chamber members may also purchase a table of eight. Table pricing varies based on the membership tier, starting at $400/table.

After dinner the attendees will be entertained by keynote speaker Rick Olson. Olson is an author and business consultant who has travelled the globe speaking to a variety of groups. He will keep the attendees entertained with his presentation entitled "How Fun Are You to Be With?"

Sponsorships are also available for members to support the annual dinner. The various levels are Platinum, which includes two tables and a free Red Carpet Lounge booth for $2,500; Gold, which includes eight tickets and a free Red Carpet Lounge booth for $1,000; Silver, which includes four tickets for $500; Bronze, which includes two tickets for $250

Sponsors to date include The Parkersburg News & Sentinel (Platinum) and West Virginia Central Credit Union (Gold).

The deadline to be a sponsor or make reservations for the annual dinner is Nov. 1. Seating is limited to 300 so we encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible.
