Jack Lemley

Harry Jack Lemley, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away on Oct. 15, 2012, at his residence under the loving care of his family and Housecalls Hospice.

He was born in Wood County on Sept. 24, 1932, a son of the late John and Roberta Lowell Lemley. Jack had served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #15, VFW and the Odd Fellows Lodge. He had worked at Demuth Glass through the Operating Engineers Union Local #132. He enjoyed fishing and assisting with the Save a Kitty cause.

Jack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen Salyer Lemley; daughters, Karen Lemley and Jackey Lemley Criss and husband Eric; grandson, Tyler Criss; and sisters, Harriett "Sue" Lemley and Jonnie Smith. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn and Sharon; five brothers-in-law; and five sisters-in-law.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, with full military rites by American Legion Post #15. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

Leavitt Funeral Home will then be assisting the family with cremation.
