Laura Mae (Maisie) Keith, 87, of Bristol, W.Va., passed away Oct. 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1925 in Lost Creek, W.Va., the daughter of the late Henry and Martha Fox Lamb. Laura was a proud graduate of Magnolia High School. She was a loving mom and homemaker, who loved her grandchildren and spent every moment she could with them. She was a member of the Sunshine Homemakers Club and Fairlawn Baptist Church. In the past, Laura worked at Mercer's Drug Store and Economy Industries. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, canning and always grew beautiful flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lewis Sherwood Keith; two children, Gary L. Keith (Lisa) of Clarksburg and Debra S. Hall (Bob) of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Joshua and Adam Hall of Parkersburg, Gary L. Keith II (Ashley) and Maria and Shane Keith; and one great-grandchild, Gwen Keith, all of Clarksburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two loving sons, Stephen S. Keith and Michael B. Keith; sisters, Marie Anderson, Genieve Bartlett, Margaret Sears, Edna McClain and Freda Lamb; and brothers, Angus Lamb and Charles Lamb.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Greg Varndell officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
