Paul David Lewis, 70, of Parkersburg, passed away Oct. 14, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
Paul was born Sept. 25, 1942 in Parkersburg, son of the late Garland A. and Hazel E. Houck Lewis. He was a 1960 graduate of PHS, attended WVU and was a Protestant by faith. He had worked at Martin Marietta Materials and retired as a self-employed home builder. Paul was a quiet, gentle man who loved to read, work crossword puzzles, cook his special potato soup for his grandkids and go to Myrtle Beach. Most of all he loved his Mom, who would have been 100 years old on Oct. 14, his wife Victoria and his constant companion, Puffy.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Victoria Sue Goff Lewis; sisters, Carole Craig of Belpre, Margaret Yarrington of Kettering, Ohio and Rebecca Lister (Skip) of Cincinnati, Ohio; step-children, Jennifer Watkins (Bill) of Belpre and Brian Corbin (Judy) of Tallahassee, Fla.; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Tori and Sarah Watkins and Max and Samantha Corbin; four nephews; and one niece.
Because of the private person that we all knew him to be, at his request, there will be no viewing or services. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va.
The family offers special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Dennis Newland, the staff at Camden Clark, Amedysis and Comfort Keepers for all their love, support and care.
Donations may be made in Paul's memory to the Humane Society of Parkersburg at 29th and Poplar streets in Parkersburg, WV 26101.
