Madge Lee Gilmore, 78, of the Pond Creek community of Belleville, passed away Oct. 12, 2012, at her daughter's home, where she had been residing.
She was born July 12, 1934, at Ellenboro, a daughter of the late Knolls and Alma Lucinda Wince Brooks. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are three sons, Edward Curtis Gilmore of Pennsboro, Jonathan Richard (Marianne) Gilmore of Norfolk, Va. and Gary Randall (Lois) Gilmore of Harrisville; five daughters, Lisa (Mark) Townsend of Pond Creek, Deborah (Tom) Leggett of Harrisville, Barbara Jean (John) Stephens of Glen St. Mary, Fla., Tina (Gordon) Huffman of King, N.C. and Trudy (Tim) Lindow of Pullman, W.Va.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Gilmore; a son, Terry Lynn Gilmore; a daughter, Peggy Darlene Keith; a grandson, Aaron Michael Gilmore; and a granddaughter, Abigail Hodge.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
