Jimmy J. Mace and Margaret J. "Peggy" Tingler Mace celebrated their 65th anniversary Oct. 13.

They were married Oct. 13, 1947, in Parkersburg by the late Rev. Clifford Phillips.

He is the son of the late Lucy Mace Cline and the late Perry Guy Mace. He served more than five years in the Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 26 years, the last six years as supervisor for the postal carriers.

She is the daughter of the late Ida Deem Tingler and the late Ira L. "Scott" Tingler.

She worked for 17 years for the Yunker Mfg. Co. and for many years lettered bowling shirts and school garments and made senior color day flags for Parkersburg High School and Parkersburg South High School. In 1982, she started organizing the Vienna Christmas Parades and continued for 15 years.

They are the parents of one son, Donald Scott (Debbie) Mace of Vienna.

They have two grandchildren, Zachary Scott (Amanda) Mace of Pittsburg and Jamie Erin Mace of Vienna.

They enjoy golfing.
