WATERFORD - The Waterford High and Fort Frye High volleyball teams have both had very succesful 2012 campaigns.
When the two schools met at Waterford in a non-conference matchup Wednesday, only one could come out on top.
The Wildcats were the victors in four games, improving to 17-4 overall and 13-2 in the Tri-Valley Conference on "Volley for the Cure" night. The Cadets dropped to 12-6 overall and 8-4 in the Pioneer Valley Conference.
It looked like it would be a clean sweep for Waterford after taking the first two games, each by a score of 25-17.
Fort Frye bounced back with a 25-18 win, but could not carry that momentum into the fourth game, as Waterford rolled to a 25-9 victory.
Waterford's next match will be on Thursday when it playsd host to Belpre in a TVC matchup on Senior Night.
