On Sept. 27 we buried our beautiful 33-year-old daughter at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. When I went back I discovered all of the flowers from the casket spray and other arrangements were gone. The greenery remained, but all of the beautiful roses, carnations, mums, etc., that Obermeyer's had so meticulously arranged were gone.
I do not believe it was the work of deer as they were picked too clean. How sad that someone felt they needed those flowers and defaced her grave. The flowers gave us comfort and showed us that others cared about our daughter.
Shame on the heartless person(s) that did this. If they needed flowers that badly, we would have bought them for them. They did not need to steal them. Our family has endured enough with the loss of this special young lady.
