In response to the letter from Carol Sams concerning "Common sense in license renewals" and how difficult it is for citizens to renew their license. The reason it has become so hard is the new rules put in place by our Homeland Security during the Obama administration. This is only one of the many difficult things Americans will be forced to do if Barack Obama is elected for a second term.
I can't understand why any American would not want to show a picture ID in order to vote. We have to show them to cash a check, at a doctor's office, get in the White House or other government buildings. As a retired military family we have to show it to make a purchase on a military base.
It is not true the Republicans are putting in place identical hurdles all across the country for people who want to vote. If someone wants to vote bad enough they will take the time to get that picture ID and then proudly cast the vote for the party of their choice. I thank God for the privilege of living in the United States of America and my prayer is those freedoms I have will never be taken away.
