Linda Lee Midcap Rader, 65, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away after a long illness on Oct. 5, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Clarence and Roxie Elson Midcap.
She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of Boaz Baptist Church. Her favorite pasttimes were going to the Big Red football games, spending time with her two granddaughters, Lindsey and Megan, and her great-nephew, Austin, and getting together with family.
Surviving is her son, Greg (Lisa) Midcap of Vienna; her granddaughters, Lindsey and Megan Midcap of Vienna; her sister, Sharon Armour of Parkersburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Rader; sisters, Zelma Haught and Garnet DeLancey James; and her brothers, Paul Midcap and Delbert (Bob) Midcap.
The family would like to express gratitude for the dedication and compassionate care provided by Dr. William Tomlinson and the staff and physicians at the Cleveland Clinic; the support from Bill Marshall in getting her to many appointments; the support from the Rev. Bob Alfred and the Boaz Baptist congregation; and the support and prayers of family and friends.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg. Pastor Bob Alfred will officiate and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
