It's time for new representation for the 93rd District of the Ohio House of Representatives in the person of Charlie Daniels. Daniels has the blue-collar, working-class roots in this area, is a Navy veteran and is much better suited to represent the interests of Southeastern Ohio than the incumbent, Andy Thompson.
Daniels has been against SB 5, which is supported by his opponent and which was roundly defeated last year by the voters of Ohio. As a union member himself, Daniels will advocate for the rights of workers in Ohio. Daniels also supports reform of the redistricting of political districts of the state so that they are less partisan. He believes in close monitoring and sufficient regulations of energy companies, which are coming to our area for the construction of disposal wells used in the process. Hydrofracking wastes are already being brought into Ohio from Pennsylvania before we have appropriate controls in place to guarantee their safety. Daniels advocates the tapping of the "rainy day" fund to assist school districts and local governments at this time of greatly constrained resources. In terms of financial support for these valued services, it's already raining in Southeastern Ohio.
Daniels' opponent, on the other hand, has done little to support workers' rights; he advocates for the unfettered activity of businesses, opposes any further regulation or taxing of hydrofracking, and supports further cuts in education and state support of local governments to help with their infrastructure. Furthermore, Thompson has been unwilling to seek state assistance to establish accessibility to wireless Internet for remote areas of our district. Daniels, I'm sure, would support such an effort to advance technological access.
Please support Charlie Daniels this fall for representative of the 93rd District, a man who truly supports the interests of the middle class, working Ohioans and conservation of our natural resources.
