Kenneth R. Bungard, 76, of Davisville, W.Va., passed away Sept. 30, 2012, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Wood County, the son of the late Raymond and Letha McPeek Bungard. He had worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways for over 33 years as an Inspector and was a longtime member of the Stillwell Methodist Church. He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Masonic Lodge #3 and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, attending gospel sings and auctions.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilda L. Norman Bungard of Davisville; his children, Kenneth R. Bungard Jr. of Vienna and Kimberly K. Bungard Jones and husband Rick of Murphytown; his grandchildren, Ryan Bungard and wife Brittany, Ariel Yoho and husband Justin and Holly Jones and Jonathon Jones; his brothers, Paul Bungard and wife Rose of Davisville and Lowell Bungard and wife Cheryl of Davisville; his sisters, Arlene Reynolds of Murphytown and Carol Wine and husband Ron of Davisville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Sue Bungard; and his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Irene Bungard.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Rev. Jim Eakle and Rev. Dan Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today.
