James W. Guinn

James W. Guinn, 61, of Parkersburg, W.Va., was called home Sept. 21, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Clarence and Edith Atkinson Guinn.

Jim spent the last 37 years enjoying his job at Wharton's Auto Group, where he was the Sales Manager. He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1969, where he was the quarterback of the Big Red football team. Jim loved golf, football and was an avid Mountaineer Fan. Jim married his childhood sweetheart, Debbie Jones Guinn, and they shared 47 years together.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Amy Michelle Guinn and Courtney Brooke Lukosavich; his favorite son-in-law, Marc; three grandchildren, Scarlett Grace, Maverick James and Isabella Brooke; a sister, Elizabeth "Beth" Barton (Ed); and a very special nephew, Matt Hefner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister; his beloved aunt, Mattie; and uncle, Cecil Wells.

In honor of Jim's lucky number 13, a tribute to Jim will be held with a service at 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at Stout Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Calebaugh officiating. A gathering will follow in the fellowship hall.
