Bobby G. Posey, 80, took his final breaths on Sept. 24, 2012, surrounded by three generations of his children, with many more coming to celebrate his life, their lives together and his release from his battle with Parkinson's.

He was born the son of the late Dolphy and Stella Morrison Posey. He graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson High School, Clarksburg, married Shirley Lister and began working at Hartland Planing Mill.

Later, the family, now including four children, moved to Vienna where Bobby worked as a cabinet builder and later worked at Diamond Glass. He and Shirley later moved to Mesa, Ariz., where he was a cross-country truck driver, a tour bus driver and a manager of a resort. After living a few years in Georgia, they moved to South Carolina before returning to Vienna.

He is survived by two daughters, Debra Bonnell of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Catherine Campbell (Joe) of Oxford, Ga.; two sons, Robert Posey (Gale) of Vienna and Steven Posey of Arkansas; seven grandchildren, LaShay Evans (James), Troy Bonnell, Dawn Pettus (Dallas), Matthew Bonnell, Chris Campbell (Amanda), Adam Campbell (Amber) and Nicolas Posey; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He reunited in heaven with Shirley and their grandson, Jeremy Posey.

The family will reunite Bobby's and Shirley's ashes at their convenience after Bobby's memorial service which will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Thursday.
