Mallory Nicole Wegmann and Russell Jackson Berry, both of Newnan, Ga., were joined in marriage June 23 at the Catholic Center at UGA in Athens. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. William K. Matheny Jr.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Wegmann and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Wolf of Parkersburg and Rita L. Wegmann and the late James A. Wegmann of Bluffton, S.C.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thompson of Bakersfield, Calif., and George Russell Berry Jr. of Newnan and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Haynes of Bakersfield and Mary Berry and the late George Russell Berry of Newnan.

Ashlee Wegmann of Athens, cousin of the bride, served as the maid of honor. The bride was also attended by Sarah Berry of Newnan, sister of the groom; Louise Lambert of Atlanta; Caroline Farley of Atlanta; Carlyn Cogar of Winston Salem, N.C.; Tasha Gainous of Eatonton; and Tracey Lightfoot of London, Ontario, Canada. Tara Sargent of Littleton, Colo., cousin of the bride, served as the flower girl.
George Russell Berry Jr., of Newnan, the father of the groom, served as the best man. The groom was also attended by Nicholas Wegmann of Athens, brother of the bride; Clayton Austin of Marietta, brother-in-law of the groom; Benjamin Bridges of Atlanta; Luke Prater of Atlanta; Adam Cook of Atlanta; and Harris Cook of Newnan. Craig Cheever and Wesley Budd, both of Newnan served as ushers.
Bridget Sargent of Littleton, cousin of the bride, served as the program attendant.
The bridegroom's parents held a rehearsal dinner at Trumps, in downtown Athens.
The wedding reception was held at the Athens Country Club in Athens, Ga.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nev.; Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Sonoma, Calif.; and San Francisco, Calif., the couple resides in Newnan.
