Don King, 81, of Sistersville, passed away Sept. 19, 2012, at Sistersville General Hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1931 in Sistersville, a son of the late Frank D. "Bud" King and Mabel V. Potts King.
Don owned and operated an accounting business in Sistersville for 30 years. He was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ, a 1949 graduate of SHS and a 1959 graduate of Marietta College. He was also a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha Wilkinson King; daughters, Debbie King (David) Tieche of Florida, Sandy King (Tom) Kertis of Arizona and Linda King (Jeff) Buchanan of Sistersville; grandchildren, Eric Walton, Drew, Mark and Michelle Kertis and Daniel and Hannah Phillips; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy King and two nieces and one nephew.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob King.

Services will be Sunday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, with military graveside services.
