Gary Carlton VanSkiver Jr., 46, of Parkersburg, passed away at his residence on Sept. 16, 2012.
He was born on April 1, 1966 in Elmira, N.Y., a son of Shirley M. Clark of Danville, N.Y. and Gary C. Sr. and Cathy VanSkiver of Vienna.
He loved hunting, Native American artwork, and watching NASCAR. His favorite driver was Kasey Kahne. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Wendy Forsey and her children, Bambi and Evelyn; his brother, James J. (Angie) VanSkiver and his children, James T. and Jessica; his sister, Angel Woodworth and her children, Jarred and Destinee; his sister, Crystal (John) Burchett and her children, Ryan and Katelyn; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, 4 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m.
