Jessie L. Woodyard

Jessie L. Woodyard, 87, of Parkersburg went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012.

Jessie was born Aug. 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Lena and Charles Kincheloe. She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1943. She worked for the FMC Corporation as a corporate secretary.

Jessie was a faithful and long time member of Stout United Methodist Church and enjoyed fellowship with her circle groups. She was involved in Kiwanis for many years. She was a volunteer at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and loved sewing for the Lloyd Middleton Doll Company. Jessie had fun camping with her husband Dick, playing Bunko and was talented in arts and crafts.

Jessie is survived by her son Bob Boone (Lori) of Parkersburg, step children Michael Woodyard (Susette) of Parkersburg and Janet Gainer (David) of Columbus, Ohio. She was an amazing grandmother to Angie (Kevin) Brockman, Jill (Doug) Johnson, all of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mark Morgan of Louisville, Ky., Michael and Lauren Boone of Parkersburg. Her step grandchildren include Lori (Thad) Tofaute, Ben Woodyard, Chad Woodyard, Michael (Nicole) Brabham. She was a sweet great grandmother "Ma-maw" to Gracie and Grant Brockman, and Joseph and Rene' Johnson, all of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Trevor and Jacob Woodyard, Theda Tofaute, Allie and Nick Brabham.

She was preceded in death by several family members including her husband Richard (Dick) Woodyard, daughter Linda Jane Richards, step son Richard Woodyard, III, step granddaughter Sheri Brabham, parents and siblings.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Jim Mike Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
