Jackson R. "Jack" Wolfe, Sr, 74, of Parkersburg passed away on Sept. 18, 2012, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Bergoo, W.Va., on May 18, 1938, a son of the late Sanford and Minnie Dreem Wolfe. He had served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from Kaiser Aluminum. He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.
"Jack" is survived by his four children, Jackson Wolfe Jr. and Mary of Belpre, Sue Storer and John of Washington Court, Ohio, Tammy Wolfe and Shawn Richards of Parkersburg and Ken Wolfe of New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Tabitha, Ryan, Shannon, Clint, Donnie; several great grandchildren; sister, Kay Bonnell of Parkersburg; brothers, Tom Wolfe of Parkersburg, Ted Wolfe of Jane Lew, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, "Jack" was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann House Wolfe in 1992, sister Ruth Parrish, and brothers Frank and Bob Wolfe.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with the Rev. Dave Cumpston officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens with Full Military Rites by American Legion Post #15. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
