PARKERSBURG - Two men on Tuesday were arrested by the Parkersburg Police Department for an August robbery.
Arrested were Matthew Duane Clark, 27, 3788 Rising Sun Ridge Road, Walker, and Doyal Michael Scarberry, 21, 911 Latrobe Street, Apt. B, Parkersburg, Sgt. Greg Collins said.
The incident occurred on Aug. 20 near Virginia Avenue and Williams Street where two men forced the victim to empty his pockets and give up a cellphone, Collins said. Scarberry began swinging his fists at the victim, who, while he moved to prevent being hit, was struck in the face with a tire tool by Clark, causing a laceration and the loss of several teeth, Collins said.
