Edith Marie Boyles, 86, of Spencer, died Sept. 16, 2012, in the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after an extended illness.
She was born March 5, 1926 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Edward and Goldie Short Grimm. She was a homemaker and a member of the Boggs Fork Community Church, Spencer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Boyles on Aug. 28, 2012; daughter, Debbie Sue McClain; grandson, Jason Mace; and brother, Ray Grimm. Survivors include a son, Jeff Boyles and Joy Turner of Spencer; grandchildren, Heather Boyles of Charlotte, N.C., Nicholas Boyles of Buckhannon and Aaron Mace of Parkersburg; great-grandchildren, Seth Mace, Austin Mace, Levi Mace and Skylar Mace, Gracie Boyles and Hannah Boyles.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Russell Stump officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
