Rachel Nicole Dowler and Jeremy Ryan Hescht were married May 19 in an outdoor ceremony at the Marietta Shrine Club. Roger Rush of Sixth and Washington Street Church of Christ performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bryan and Karen Dowler of Fleming. She is the granddaughter of Jessie Tidd of Marietta, the late Owen Tidd of Marietta and the late Herbert and Loretta Dowler of Fleming. She is a 2003 graduate of Warren High School and a 2005 graduate of Washington State Community College. She is employed with Bradley Law Office in Parkersburg.
The groom is the son of Roger and Belinda Hescht of Vienna. He is the grandson of Wayne Blair of Marietta, Ida Mae Blair of Vienna, Isa Mae Hescht of Williamstown and the late Earl Hescht of Williamstown. He is a 2003 graduate of St. Marys High School and is employed with Simex in Waverly.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a white satin gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, wrapping pick up skirt with a semi-cathedral train and corset closure. The gown included a drop waist bodice with re-embroidered lace, crystal beading, sequins and rhinestones. The bride carried a bouquet of pink and lime green gerbera daisies, white snap dragons, pink alstroemaerias and green hypericum berries.
Cassandra Fortney of Marietta served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cyrena Mace of Marietta, Sarah Hart of Waverly, Amanda Johnson of Whipple and Erin Whytsell of Fleming. Each wore different styled pink satin dresses. They carried pink and lime green gerbera daisy bouquets.
Jason Cupp of Bellaire served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Blouir of St. Marys, Eddie Pinkerton of St. Marys, John Conger of Vienna and Jason Dodd of Parkersburg. The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxedos with lime green vests and ties.
Trenton Dowler, Coen Eddy, Skylar Hart and Ava Whytsell served as confetti kids, each carrying baskets filled with white confetti. The boys wore black tuxedos with lime green vests and bow ties. The girls wore white dresses with pink and lime green polka dots.
A reception was held at the Marietta Shrine Club immediately following the ceremony.
After a Caribbean cruise, the couple resides in Parkersburg.
