Howard E. Chapman, 91, of Coolville, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, in Coolville.
Born Sept. 14, 1920 in Guysville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Meigs Blaine and Amelia Rothlisberger Chapman. He was a member of the Coolville Masonic Lodge F & AM 337 and a veteran of WWII. He was employed at Universal Glass.
He is survived by three sons, Alan Chapman, Mark (Donna) Chapman, Barry (Donna) Chapman; three daughters, Beverly (Jerry) Murphy, Karen (Emmitt) Furner, Tammy (Bob) Coe; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Simmons and Alma Jackson; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Mildred Chapman.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; two brothers, Frank and Bernard; two sisters, Chessie and Virginia.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 16, 2 p.m. at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Coolville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
