Jeanne Wilson, 85, of Washington, W.Va., was called home by her heavenly father at 7:10 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2012. Very graciously, Doc and their daughters gave her up to his precious care.
She was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas "Turk" and Loretta Emrick. Jeanne was a graduate of Washington Irving High School class of 1944 in Clarksburg. She was also a devoted Christian and member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, A.K. "Doc" Wilson; two daughters, Linda Wilson of Arizona and Paula Cera (Gary) of New Jersey; granddaughter, Rachel Mandelberg of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandsons, Ryan and Alex Cera of New Jersey; brother, Jack Emrick (Beverly) of Clarksburg; sister-in-law, Marylee Wilson of Charleston, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Tom McDowell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Jeanne will be very, very missed by all who knew and loved her.
