Barbara "Bobbie" Ball Anderson, 71, passed peacefully from this life Sunday evening, Sept. 9, 2012, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Parkersburg on Dec. 5, 1940, the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene Smith Ball. She grew up in south Parkersburg, and served in healthcare for over 35 years, beginning at Green Lawn Convalescent Home in Vienna, W.Va. in the 1960s and retired from Worthington Manor. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Gregg Anderson and her daughter, Kari Anderson, both of Parkersburg; two sisters, Linda Daugherty (Dudley) of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Tina Westfall (Andy) of Davisville; a niece, Tammy Wilson of Vienna; and two special nephews, Andrew and Samuel Westfall of Davisville, both of whom made her smile in her last few months. And let us not forget her special times spent with her first cousins "The Newbanks Clan", especially Mitch and Dumb Kay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Anderson; and two sisters, Shirley Blosser and Nancy Ross.
The family would like to thank Housecalls Hospice for all of the care and support.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Rev. L. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
