Roger D. Logston, 59, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away on Sept. 7, 2012, at his residence.
Roger was born April 23, 1953, in Jackson County, W.Va., a son to the late William and Orena (Kimes) Logston.
Roger worked as a detailer for 14 years at the former Dils Ford of Parkersburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and greatly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sheila (Eddy) Logston; sons, Roger, Elvis, William, Dale, Brandon and Max Logston, all of Parkersburg; daughters, Christina Logston, Gloria McCune (Travis), Kathy Montgomery (George), Samantha Logston and Tina Logston, all of Parkersburg, and Heather Small (Dustin), Looneyville, W.Va.; brothers, Jim Logston (Joyce), Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Carlton Logston (Blanca), Indiana; sisters, Connie Ellison, Parkersburg, Mary Sheak, Middleton, Ohio, Mildred Pifer (Tom), Ravenswood, W.Va., and Nancey Barker (Ron), Southington, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Sheila Logston; brother, Paul Delaney; and sister, Faye Midkiff.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Bill Law officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pond Creek Road, Belleville, W.Va. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
